Please Excuse Our Mess!

We're in the process of giving the blog a face lift, so excuse what it looks like right now! :) I can't seem to get satisfied with the way it looks. It's kind of like rearranging furniture...I'm not sure I'm ever really satisfied with the way it ends up. Poor Justin, he ends up having to deal with my indecisiveness. I like to pick out what I want things to look like, and he gets stuck trying to figure out how to manage what I want. Poor guy, I guess I'll try to make up my mind sometime. I'm so lucky he's such a good sport.

He works so hard! :)

D had a cardiologist appointment yesterday, and it went well. I was a little nervous since it's been an entire month since we've been. That's the longest we've gone between visits, a big step for us. Dr. Shuler was pleased with how D is doing. He said he thought he looked a little more blue around his mouth, which is to be expected. You really notice blueness when a person's sats are around 85, and now Derrick is down to about 82 on average. He's still doing great, but his sats are dropping. Of course we knew they would, and as they do surgery creeps closer.

We go back in a month for another check up. D will have to have another heart cath as it gets closer to time just to check his pressures and make sure they are low enough to be ideal for surgery. We were told originally that he wouldn't have to have another one, but Dr. Shuler says he does. Basically, we have no new news, which I guess is good news. We're just at the 'hurry up and wait' part, still...

We are proud to say that we have a sitter!! D can sit unassisted for several minutes now. Of course, he still topples over every now and then, but he's doing really well. We're so excited that he's meeting most of his milestones. He's still not rolling over though. We think he thinks it's pointless. :)

We had something tragic happen at our house...I LOST OUR CAMERA! It was in the diaper bag last time I saw it, and I went to get it and it was nowhere to be found. I felt so lost not having it. I kept thinking of things I needed to take pictures of and couldn't. Unfortunately but thankfully, we bought another one. I LOVE the new one, but I'm still crossing my fingers that the other one still shows up. There are pictures on the card that I really want back!
This is D's version of "cheese!"

We're looking forward to a fun Saturday going to soccer games then to the pumpkin patch with our Palmetto Hearts friends. We should have some fun pics next week.

  1. Ha ha ha!! WOW your blog really is changing! Ok...I have NO room to talk since mine seems to change on a daily basis. It is like having a new toy but you can't make up your mind whether you are 100% satisfied with that toy or the one you wish you would've bought at the store.

I sent you an e-mail back. I'm more than happy to help.

Sorry you lost your camera. I had that happen last spring and I was SUPER upset. Thankfully mine turned back up at the store I had left it at. I had tons of pics on my card from the heart walk and other stuff. Hope you find yours!

Glad to hear that D's appointment went well! We are still praying for him!

Go D on the sitting!! YAY!!

  2. Great pictures, but I know what you mean about losing your camera. Great pictures can never be replaced! Hope it turns up soon :)
