Time is FLYING!

Wow, it's been nine days since I've posted anything here!  I've had several "Just checking on you" emails (which I truly appreciate!!), and I wanted to let you know that we're all doing well.

Just BUSY to say the least!

Last week I started a photography class that takes up four nights a week.  I'm not used to being gone so much!  It's been a struggle to stay on top of work, family, class and sleep!  Needless to say we've had some not-so-great dinners the past couple of weeks!  Ha!  I only have two more weeks after this, and while I realize that being over seven months pregnant and having a toddler running around may not be the best time to take a college class, I figured, why not?!  If I don't do it now then I'll have to wait another few years and I didn't want to wait!  It's been lots of fun and I've been overloaded with info (and probably won't remember a thing with this pregnancy brain) but I'm glad I'm doing it.  And so glad to have a husband that encourages all of my crazy hobbies and in-laws that will take care of my little guy while I'm at class and Justin is working!

We'll see where it goes...

We're about 3/4 of the way finished with Derrick's big boy room.  We should get his bedding soon and I can't wait to see it!  I searched and searched everywhere to find exactly what I was looking for for D's room and it was no where to be found.  One night while scouring the Internet I found the perfect bedding...the problem was, I was NOT willing to spend $600 on bedding for a toddler.  I love him, but no sir!  So, my friend Ms. Pat is making it!  The fun part about that is, well first of all, she's awesome, second of all, I was able to change some things and make it exactly what I wanted.  Can't get better than that, right?!  Oh, I can't WAIT!

Jenny Kate's room is coming right along.  It's really at about the same point that D's is at.  And when Ms. Pat is finished with D's bedding she'll be working on Jenny Kate's.  I'm so excited to share their rooms with you that I can hardly stand it!!

I've had LOTS of questions lately about Jenny Kate's name.  I know I promised an explanation and it's coming.  Soon.  Promise.  I'm in search of something first.

So that's what we've been up to.  Not a whole lot, but then again, busy.  We're doing great so I can't complain!  :)

This was D today while I was getting lunch ready.  He loves to mess in the refrigerator any time it's open, so he made a quick grab at what he thought was an apple.  When I tried to get it back from him he took off and hid under the table with his "apple."  Needless to say, he was a little disappointed when he bit into a juicy tomato!  Silly boy!
I know, it's a bad shot.  I tell you that I'm taking a photog class and post a really bad quality picture.  You have to be quick with moments like this!  Sorry! :)

  1. What type of photography class are you taking? I'm taking on on Friday evening but it is more of a workshop on Lightroom(?) for photo editing. A friend of mind is doing it - she is the same one that took our faimily pictures - so I'm very excited because I know she is a great teacher. I've searched for other classes but they all seemed so . .. intense.

  2. Hey Jackie!
I'm taking a certificate class so by the time it's over I'll be a "certified photographer." It's intense and a TON of information, but I've loved it! I don't have Lightroom, but I'm sure that class would be a lot of fun. I'd love to take a Photoshop class. You can do so much with the editing software! Enjoy your class!! :)
